¡¡¡¡Located in the southeast of China, the south of Shanghai Economic Development
Zone,and with Wenzhou connected to its north, Ruian of Zhejiang province is a
coastal city with Feiyun River passing thought to the east into the sea. Its continental
area is 1360SQKM, with 21KM seabank,adjanting to Dabei Islands and Beilu Islands
neibouring the sea. Its history is very long and dated back to 1600 years ago
since its establishment as a county. In 1987 it's upgraded administratively as
a city belonging to Wenzhou,one of the 14 coastal cities opening to the outside

zone with maritime monsoon climate,the annual average temperature is 18¡æ, its
no-frost term is 271 days,annual precipitation is 1568mm. The arable land area
in the city is 472000Mu, fresh water river surface is 10000Mu, 190000Mu,forestry
land is 864000Mu, rich in mineral treasures.In the upper reaches of Feiyun River,Shanxi
Reservoir, a large scale pivotal water project is under construction.100 hectres
away from the Feiyun River, there're rich petrol resources under exploitation
and development.
¡¡¡¡Ruian has been prosperious in township and well-developed in trade ever
since ancient times.The modern industries appeared in the beginning of the 20th
century,Baihao Dairy Products Factory and Liumeng Iron Factory were among the
most famous in Southern China. Ever since the reform and opening to the outside,
Ruian has been leading the way in establishing socialist market economy system.
The very influencious Wenzhou Patern in China is specially characterized in Ruian.
Ruian is the earliest county which is authorized to open to the outside and act
as comprehensive reform experimental area, it's one of the most vigorous regions
in the economic development of China. It has been established as a regional industrial

was 2.8 billion RMB. According to the current exchange rate,the per capita GDP
